Most of these shots have come about through the time I have spent in Cambodian villages far from anywhere. It is an unbelievably beautiful place, and slowly, life is improving for thousands of families who previously had nothing. Who, when it rains have everything they own either get wet or washed away, who have one crop a year and not the four that their land could support because they have no wells so are at the mercy of the rains and yet still smile and joke at the same nonsense that the rest of us do. Very strange to show them pictures of themselves on your camera's screen and realise it is the first time they have seen their own face.
When I am old I shall wear purple with a red hat, which does not go.
